The Phoenix Contact IBS PCI SC/RI-LK is a termination board designed for PCs with PCI bus interfaces, serving as an INTERBUS system coupler that integrates both master and slave functions into a single controller board. This integration offers a compact and cost-effective solution for applications where a PC manages control functions within a lower-level INTERBUS system while maintaining a seamless connection to a higher-level INTERBUS network. A typical application is the internal control of a robot by a PC, simultaneously linking to the system network. The software interfaces are compatible with INTERBUS Generation 4 PC controller boards, such as the IBS PCI SC/I-T, and support configuration, parameterization, and diagnostics through the INTERBUS CMD software. The system coupler also allows for the connection of an external 24 V DC power supply to ensure uninterrupted operation of the higher-level INTERBUS system.
