China warns and threatens

Tensions between China and the US remain at a high level, and one of the key topics in this rivalry is currently the microprocessor market.

Last Thursday, China's Ministry of Commerce issued a statement warning of the consequences of a US request to South Korean chipmakers not to fill any supply shortfalls in China. According to the ministry, such a request would pose a threat to the stability of global supply chains and therefore to the international economy.

Violation of the free market?

Chinese authorities are calling on relevant governments and companies to jointly defend the principle of free trade. According to Shu Jueting, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, any action that violates the free market and the stability of supply chains will not only harm the global economy, but also cause losses for companies and consumers worldwide.

The microprocessor market is a key element in the current competition between China and the US for global dominance. Microprocessors are essential components in today's electronic devices, including smartphones, computers, and other devices whose widespread use is increasingly impacting people's lives around the world. As a result, control over the production of microprocessors gives a strategic advantage in this competition, which in turn leads to the escalation of tensions between China and the US.

Fight for influence

Control of the microprocessor market is not the only point of contention between China and the US. The world's two largest economies have been fighting for influence in various fields, including trade, technology, defense, and politics, for some time now. Trade exchanges between China and the US are at a high level, and both sides have imposed a series of tariffs and restrictions, contributing to cost increases and reduced production efficiency in many industries.

Although the Chinese Ministry of Commerce is calling for the defense of the principle of free trade, China itself is criticized for its trade and investment restrictions, especially in technology-related industries. Chinese companies are often accused of intellectual property rights violations and unfair trade practices, which is one of the reasons why the US has imposed a series of restrictions on them.
