New fuel for a revolution

New fuel for a revolution

Even before the outbreak of the pandemic, we devoted a lot of space in our pages to industry 4.0. The revolution related to it was slowly accelerating before our eyes, but then its coronavirus stood in the way. However, the introduction of modern and green technologies of the future is gaining momentum again.

Interestingly, just as the pandemic initially turned out to be a blockade that could not be overcome, it can finally be called a catalyst for great changes that are already taking place, and the future will progress even faster.

New opening

How do we know all this? From a report prepared by Interact Analysis. It shows that after two years, when the industrial robotics market was quite stagnant, and companies were putting off the plan to put them into production, we finally got to the thaw.

The aforementioned research shows that already in 2021 there was a growth in this sector by as much as 30 percent, and the value of the entire industrial robots market was estimated at a staggering $ 33.9 billions.

Interestingly, the current increases are not only meant to be a trend for a while. Interact Analysis predicts that an upward trend will be observed in the market even until 2026, when it should reach a value of approximately $ 61 billion. Meanwhile, market saturation should reach a fairly high level and increases may slow down.

Human factor

Where did such increases come from? The explanation of this phenomenon is quite simple. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused severe labor shortages in various sectors. Entrepreneurs who were postponing their plans to enter industry 4.0 this time had no choice.

Automation on a larger scale and bold use of robots is for them not only a necessity today, but also an investment in the future. Uncertain times require certain solutions, and as the Interact Analysis report shows, for many such investments are also a kind of security for the future. A future that is currently very difficult to predict, which unfortunately is not a very favorable factor in business.

Obviously, robotization and automation are not particularly cheap today. If someone did not decide to start this process before the pandemic, today, when we witness huge problems in the raw materials market, as well as problems related to supply chains, we have to pay more for new technologies and this trend will continue for some time. However, it does not appear to have stopped entrepreneurs. The revolution finally caught the wind in its sails.
