Description

The SEW-Eurodrive DFE24B is an EtherCAT® fieldbus interface option designed for seamless integration of MOVITRAC® B frequency inverters into higher-level automation systems. This module enables efficient communication and control by connecting the inverters via EtherCAT®, a real-time capable communication technology. The DFE24B operates at a baud rate of 100 Mbaud full duplex and utilizes two RJ45 connectors for line-type cabling. It supports the CoE (CANopen over EtherCAT®) and VoE (Simple MOVILINK protocol over EtherCAT®) services, facilitating versatile communication options. The module is compliant with IEC 61158 and IEC 61784-2 standards, ensuring reliable and standardized operation. Additionally, the DFE24B features automatic bus termination, eliminating the need for manual configuration. For configuration and project planning, the SEW_DFE24B.xml file is provided, which can be installed into the designated directory of your project planning software. This integration allows for automatic addressing via the EtherCAT® master and supports the configuration of process data objects (PDOs) and service data objects (SDOs), enabling both real-time control and parameter access.
