The Omron C200H-BAT09 is a lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl₂) battery designed for use with Omron's C200H series programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including models C200HX, C200HG, C200HE-CPU□□(-Z), and C200H-PA. This non-rechargeable battery ensures reliable operation and data retention for these PLCs. Key specifications include a nominal voltage of 3.6 V, a capacity of 1,800 mAh (typical at 1 mA, 25 °C), and a form factor of 1/2 AA axial lead with a 2-pin connector. The operating temperature range for the cell is −55 °C to +85 °C, while the CPU ambient temperature range is 0 °C to +55 °C. Under typical conditions, the service life is approximately 5 years at 25 °C and 3 years at 40 °C when the CPU is powered. When the CPU is unpowered, the battery provides data retention for about 2 years at 25 °C. The C200H-BAT09 is compatible with third-party cells in the same 1/2 AA form factor, such as Tadiran TL-5902, Saft LS-14250, and Xeno XL-050F. This battery is essential for maintaining the functionality and data integrity of Omron's C200H series PLCs.
