The Phoenix Contact IBS ISA SC/RI/RT-LK is a termination board designed for IBM-compatible PCs with an ISA bus, facilitating seamless integration of INTERBUS systems. This controller board serves as a system coupler, enabling both master and slave functions within a single controller, thereby optimizing space and cost efficiency. It is particularly suitable for applications where a PC manages control functions in a lower-level INTERBUS system while maintaining an uninterrupted link to a higher-level INTERBUS network. A typical use case includes internal robot control managed by a PC, simultaneously connected to the system network. The software interfaces are compatible with INTERBUS Generation 4 PC controller boards, such as the IBS PC ISA SC/I-T. Configuration, parameterization, and diagnostics are supported by the INTERBUS CMD software. The system coupler allows for the connection of an external 24 V DC power supply to ensure uninterrupted operation of the higher-level INTERBUS system. Note: Due to space constraints, the standard 9-pin D-SUB connectors are integrated into an external connection terminal (IBS ISA SC/RI EXT-T) for the IBS ISA SC/RI/RT-LK board.
