Description

The ProSoft MVI94-GSC is a Generic ASCII Communication Module designed for the Rockwell Automation FLEX I/O system. This module enables seamless integration between FLEX I/O processors and various serial communication devices, such as barcode readers, scales, printers, and terminals. Operating within the FLEX I/O platform, the MVI94-GSC facilitates efficient data exchange by providing a configurable ASCII communication port without occupying the processor's front port. Key features include support for baud rates ranging from 110 to 115,200, configurable parity, data bits, and stop bits, as well as options for hardware or software handshaking. The module supports both receive and transmit operations, capable of handling up to 4,096 characters in consecutive blocks for reception and up to 10 characters per block for transmission. Its compact design ensures easy installation within the FLEX I/O system, making it an ideal solution for applications requiring reliable and flexible serial communication capabilities.
