The Siemens 3TK2828-1AL20 is a SIRIUS series safety relay designed for industrial automation applications requiring reliable emergency stop and monitoring functions. Operating at a supply voltage of 230 V AC, this relay features a single channel with two normally open (NO) contacts for relay enabling circuits (EC). The EC can be configured for instantaneous or delayed operation, with delay times ranging from 0.5 to 30 seconds. Additionally, it includes one normally closed (NC) contact for signal circuits (SC) and supports automatic start functionality. The relay is housed in a compact enclosure measuring 45 x 115 x 118 mm and is rated for an insulation voltage of 300 V. It offers protection class IP20 for both the enclosure and terminals, ensuring safety against electrical shock. The device operates effectively within an ambient temperature range of -25 to +60 °C and can withstand storage temperatures from -40 to +80 °C. The maximum achievable Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is 3/2, and the Performance Level (PL) is e/d, indicating high reliability and safety standards. Please note that the 3TK2828-1AL20 has been phased out, with the preferred successor being the 3SK1121-1CB42 combined with the 3SK1230-1AW20.
