The Siemens 6GK7343-1GX31-0XE0 is a communications processor designed to integrate the SIMATIC S7-300 CPU with Industrial Ethernet networks. This device functions as a PROFINET IO controller and/or IO device, supporting Real-Time (RT) and Isochronous Real-Time (IRT) communication protocols. It offers features such as Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP), PROFINET Component-Based Automation (CBA), and compatibility with TCP/IP, ISO, UDP, S7 communication, and S5-compatible communication (SEND/RECEIVE) with Fetch/Write RFC1006. Additional functionalities include Multicast Diagnostic Extension, SNMP, DHCP, FTP client/server, and email capabilities. The processor is equipped with a Gigabit-SS1X RJ45 port (10/100/1000 Mbps) and two PROFINET interfaces with RJ45 ports (10/100 Mbps). Security features encompass firewall/VPN support, and it is compliant with PROFIenergy standards. The device operates within a temperature range of 0 to 40°C for vertical installation and up to 60°C for horizontally arranged busbars during operation. It requires a 5 V DC supply from the backplane bus and a 24 V DC external supply, with typical current consumption of 0.14 A and 0.48 A respectively. The power loss is approximately 14.7 W.
