Mitsubishi introduces the "smallest, most compact" programmable logic controller

Mitsubishi introduces the

Mitsubishi Electric has released the smallest and most powerful compact programmable controller Premium Micro PLC from the FX5UC series. The company is convinced that the small size of the new PLC is designed to help machine builders and machine manufacturers package "more and more functions in a smaller space," while providing access to networks and connectivity to the networks that the latest intelligent factory applications demand.

Mitsubishi electric introduced its first series of microcontrollers over 35 years ago. It was a family of FX programmable controllers, MELSEC-F series.

Mitsubishi PLC controller despite the small size contains the same powerful processor as the premium model Mitsubishi Electric FX5U in a product as small as the micro FX3S. The device also has a large memory of 64,000 steps and an execution speed of 34 ns.This results in quick machine responses and increased productivity. In addition, the FX5UC controller can perform positioning and advanced motion control functions for up to four axes, without the need for dedicated controllers.

Additional built-in functions include tools to prevent data theft or tampering (security key authentication,) while allowing operators secure access to the system state via the Internet and data logging by interacting with the built-in functions.

The CPU module thanks to its small size fits in smaller spaces, freeing up valuable space on the machine or production space usually occupied by larger control panels. Features such as built-in relay and transistor inputs also save space by avoiding the need to install additional terminal blocks in many applications.
