An earthquake in the industrial automation sector. Next year, the Automaticon trade fair, the largest event in the Polish market, which attracted thousands of visitors every year, will not take place.

A Quarter Century of Tradition
Automaticon, specifically the International Fair of Automation and Measurements, has been organized for 26 years. For over a quarter of a century, the stature of the event has consistently grown, and today, it is the largest forum where industry leaders, professionals, manufacturers, and end-product consumers come together.
It's safe to say that over the past few decades, if someone had anything to do with automation or robotics, they had to visit at least one edition of the trade fair.
Time for Change
However, it turns out that reputation and tradition are one thing, while hard realities are another. The fair's organizers recognized that Automaticon, in its current format, no longer has a reason to exist.
Therefore, they implemented a reform of the event, with the first component being the cancellation of its next year's edition and scheduling the next one for 2025. What's more, according to the new format, Automaticon will take place on a biennial basis.
What specifically led to this decision? In a statement from the organizers, we can read that the primary reason was to ensure the event's highest level of expertise.
Does Less Mean More?
"For over a quarter of a century, the essence of Automaticon has been the highest quality of content, a rich program of conferences and seminars creating an atmosphere of the exchange of the latest technical ideas. Therefore, the Automaticon trade fair management, in its commitment to providing the highest quality of content, has decided to change to a biennial cycle" - as stated in the announcement.
So, if nothing changes, the next edition of the fair will return in two years, and it can be assumed that the organizers will want it to have a grandeur never seen before.
"We assure you that we will make every effort to ensure that the event organized by us becomes the most significant industry trade fair of the year 2025. We warmly invite you to cooperate with us and help shape the new edition of the International Fair of Automation, Measurements, and Electronics, AUTOMATICON 2025" - they announced.
