Providing energy and communication with the robot

Implementation of robot communication with the master control should take into account the conditions prevailing in the robot's working environment. If large areas of electromagnetic interference arise in the path of the cable connections, fiber optics are recommended.

Keeping wires mounted on the robot is to ensure trouble-free operation of the robot in the full range, the robot can not damage the wiring harness through bending, friction of wires, etc. In this case, rollers, conduits and bumpers systems should be used. The wiring package must allow easy replacement of individual wires. The cables used are to be intended for continuous operation, i.e. to be resistant to bending. The bending radii must not exceed the permissible from the catalog data. If the conductors are exposed to external caustic agents, an appropriate data sheet must be approved for this work.

The power supply must always be divided into two parts, the separation point must be on axis 3.

The disjoint separation of all lines must be on the robot foot (first axis). This factor has an impact on limiting the time needed to remove the failure.

The robot manufacturer is responsible for supplying the energy package from axis 1 to axis 3. The robot chosen by the machine's constructor in the robot manufacturer's specification should have a cabling package (welding robot, robot for painting application, cleaning robot, palletizing robot, etc.). If the robot is selected in a standard configuration, the machine's constructor is responsible for the execution of the connection package (wiring). This means that for the execution of connections 1-3  - the machine manufacturer and the axes 4-6 ready systems.

In the case of additional axes in the robot configuration, the energy package connection system should be agreed with the responsible robotics department at the machine installation site.

The robot and robot control box should be properly grounded.
