Schneider Electric's offensive

Schneider Electric continues its efforts regarding its transformation offensive. The best evidence of this is the signing of an agreement for the construction of a new factory, which will be located in Dunavesce, Hungary.

The mentioned factory will not be an ordinary workplace like many others. In the case of Schneider Electric, we are talking about a strong emphasis on transformation at almost every stage of production, and it will be the same in this case.

Pearl in the Crown

Dunavesce will already be the 36th intelligent factory of the company in Europe and in a few months' time, it is expected to become one of the jewels in Schneider's crown. In this specific case, we are talking about a plant that will produce very specialized equipment such as primary and secondary switchgear, as well as a whole range of low-voltage components.

The entire investment is expected to cost around 40 million euros, and this will be Schneider Electric's fifth plant in Hungary. The location of the new factory is not accidental, as Budapest is today one of the company's most important partners, and there are over 2,000 people working under the company throughout the country.

Zero Emissions

An interesting fact regarding the construction of the new plant is that it will be entirely powered by geothermal and photovoltaic energy. Thanks to this, Schneider Electric would like to achieve full neutrality in terms of carbon dioxide emissions already in 2024.

The mentioned "intelligence" of the factory is to be manifested not only in what will be produced in it, but also - and perhaps above all - in the working conditions that will be guaranteed to its over 500 employees.

Special systems that will allow energy savings in virtually every room and at every stage of activity, sluices that will minimize heat loss, or finally, the use of rainwater in bathrooms and for plant care - these are just the tip of the iceberg regarding the modern solutions that Schneider will propose.

If someone was wondering what an offensive regarding production transformation and implementation of modern solutions might look like in practice, Schneider is showing quite vividly how it is done.
