The Allen-Bradley 1771-OBN is a digital DC output module designed for the PLC-5 series, offering 32 outputs organized into four groups of eight. Operating within a voltage range of 10 to 30 VDC, each output supports a maximum continuous current of 0.5 A, with a total module capacity of 8 A. This module is compatible with various Allen-Bradley PLC-5 processors, including the PLC-5/15 and Series B and later models. It is intended for use in all 1771 I/O chassis except the 1771-A1, -A2, and -A4 models. The 1771-OBN is a source output module, requiring a sink input for proper operation. It is not suitable for use in environments exceeding Pollution Degree 2 when applied in a Zone 2 environment. The module is supplied as open-type equipment and should only be accessible by using the appliance, as it contains components susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharge.
