The best component delivery option does not have to be expensive.

The level of diversity of automation components is extremely high. The encountered elements have different dimensions, weight and shape. Preparing shipments does not seem a difficult task at first glance. In this article, we will dispel all doubts related to the subject of logistics of components and provide the knowledge necessary for the proper preparation of the electronics sent. This is important news for our clients. We want to show what to expect when ordering products from Automation Trader and why the package was packed in this way. The article will also provide information for our contractors sending their components to the service and for our competition to significantly increase the level of knowledge about electronics logistics

Why is a good package cheaper?

Sending goods by courier differs from dedicated transport in that we have no influence on who and how will handle our equipment (except for choosing the right courier service - more on that later). Our duty and subject, on which we put a lot of emphasis, is proper preparation of the goods. Returning to the thesis - Why is good shipping cheaper? - answer, thanks to the experience of Automation Trader is simple. Well packaged electronics will not be damaged during transport. Thanks to this, we will avoid serious delays generating costs and loss of equipment entrusted by us. You can dwell on good practices for preparing packages for transport, but today we will pass on this knowledge in a few sentences. This will be the essence of the topic that we have been exploring in our company for several years.

Shipping once and for all.

The components we send are secured in every possible way. The first and main topic is the right packaging. Protection against mechanical damage by means of an appropriate filling of cardboard is a basic thing. We remember about the right amount of filler so that the product always stays in the middle of the package without being able to move. Double packaging is usually used for parts packed by the manufacturer. In this case, we already have protection in the form of the original cardboard: product, protective filling, cardboard. In addition, we pack the subassembly in an Automation Trader carton with a large amount of protective filling. These are 4 layers protecting against mechanical damage such as crushing, breaking, wiping, puncturing, and free fall even from a great height. We do not use substitute fillings such as cleaning cloths, cut cardboard boxes, paper scraps, etc. Each packet is sent with a new fill set.

Large and heavy shipments.

Products with high weight, dimensions or unusual shape are packed in an individual way. When it comes to heavy components, we usually ship on wooden pallets in order not to provoke a situation of tearing the packaging and damage to the equipment. The components are permanently bolted to wooden boards and secured with tape and locks. To provide additional protection, we add cardboard and stretch foil.

Rain, snow and other difficult external conditions.

Adequate protection is also ensuring water resistance. Thanks to foil packaging, the product and original packaging will remain intact even if the package gets wet. We use foils, stretch films and bubble wrap for additional mechanical protection. We treat packages with full diligence and attention to detail.

Appropriate and responsible transport.

We only use reputable courier companies, keep records of damages and delays and draw conclusions, our trusted couriers have been working with us for years, constantly improving the quality and delivery time. We work with subcontractors for Express type deliveries and have a professional dedicated and own delivery system.
